I awoke to a loud squabble outside of my chamber doors.
" - You fool step aside. I was sent to help our new quest get ready for the grand feast" she shouted.She busted through the doors and with a wave of her hands slammed the doors shut almost catching Darkangels hands in the process.
" - What is the meaning of this" i shouted.
" - Relax princess I am here to help you dress for the grand feast in your honor" she snapped.
" - I honestly can not understand how you get such a grand room and Kuso gave me a meager broom closet for a room." She looked me up and down with a smirk.
" - I honestly don't understand why he is so taken by you." She rushed over to the wardrobe and brought back a very tight and very red velvet dress.
" - What are you waiting for? Get dressed" she ordered. I slid out of the clothes i had arrived in and slipped the tight dress on that felt as if it were a second skin. The cut was so low that my cheeks started to flush when i realized how exposed it left me.
" - Why must I wear this and excuse me if i am rude but who are you to order me around?" I asked fuming.I must have hit a nerve because one minute i was fuming the next I was clawing at my throat for air.
" - How dare you talk back to me! I am and will always be the Lady of this castle! Only me, Babygirl!" she screamed in rage. The intense need for air made the beast inside roar with anger. I could feel the anger wash over me in waves. My eyes darted to hers and the anger washed from her face and was replaced with fear. She realized she had went too far with me. As the hold on my throat slackened the anger grew intense. She lifted her hands to claw at her throat as her eyes seemed to bulge from the sockets. With a slight nod of my head I could have snapped her neck but what was the fun in that. The beast was furious and it demanded payment. The door slammed open as Darkangel raced through the room. He wrapped me in his warm embrace and whispered in my ear,
" - No Majesty you must not kill her. Let me in". I felt a warm calming effect start to spread deep inside of me. The beast roared back in protest trying to maintain its hold on Babygirl. I tried to will the beast to rest but she grew even angrier. Dark softly whispered,
" - Great Beast take what I offer I give it freely." This seemed to satisfy the beast as she released her hold on Babygirl and focused on Darkangel.
" - NOOOOOOO" my mind screamed at the beast. I felt my body relax as my mind began to fade in and out. Why is this happening to me!! I awoke to the soft brushing of my hair from my face. Dark looked down at me with a sigh of relief. I was confused he should have been dead.
" - I am glad to see you are OK my majesty" he said with such a loving look in his eyes.
" - What happened and how are you still breathing" I managed to say.
" - Do not worry about me majesty the beast and i have come to an understanding. She will not cause anymore problems tonight." he said with a smile. I felt so relieved that he was not harmed. I looked around for Babygirl but it seemed she had slipped out the room the moment she could.
" - Come Majesty finished dressing and I shall escort you down to the grand feast. I know you must be famished." he said. I had almost forgot about the feast and Dark was right I was feeling a bit hungry. Dark went out to the receiving room and closed the doors behind him. I went to the wardrobe to see if there was something a little more acceptable to wear and found a magnificent blue dress. I slipped the blue dress on and went to the vanity and with a wave of my hand gave myself an elegant up-do which is something I rarely do. My policy was always to use my magic for helping people not for flattery but since the incident we were running late and there was no time for me to dote on myself. Once I was done I walked out into the outer chambers and Dark looked me over with so much admiration.
" - You are so much more beautiful than the prophecy gives you credit. I see I will have my hands full keeping the whole castle at bay tonight." he chuckled.
" - Then I think they have waited long enough. Shall we?" i said extending my arm.
" - My Pleasure" he said as he escorted me down to the Grand Dining Hall.
