I was once told the path least taken would lead me to great and wonderous things however the truth for me is only a dark and lonesome existence .I tried to convince myself that I had made the right choice by leaving Fairytail behind. My heart however felt the direct opposite
If it was the right thing to do then why did it hurt so much? I could ponder many questions but instead of getting answers I would only get more questions. I was starting to get sore from riding my horse for most of the day.
We must be coming close to the lands that belonged to Defy Fate. I decided to rest the horse for the night. If my calculations and maps were correct I would reach the castle before noon allowing me time to rest. I attached the feeding bag to my horse then gently began to brush the burrs from his coat. Legalos is was a beautiful Frieze pure breed horse. I remember the day he was born and Devall told me he was to be mine.
" - A very majestic horse for a very majestic lady" Devall had said.
" - He may have the darkest of coats but his heart and spirit are pure." That is when I realized he was telling me that just because I was a mage with potential for the darkest of arts that is was my heart and intention that mattered the most. Devall always saw the good in me. I reached into my pack and pulled out my bedroll for the night. I could not help but think about the last words he said to me.
" - What am I to tell Deep?" he whispered. My heart broke with those words. My heart was filled with so much sadness. Maybe that was my destiny to cause so much sadness.....S.T.O.R.M...........S.T.O.R.M.....I awoke with a bead of sweat on my brow. I could have sworn I heard someone call out my name. I looked around the forest in search of the unseen intruder. Legolas was lazily grazing on some nearby bushes unaware...S.T.O.R.M... I looked around frantically for who or what was calling out to me but I only found darkness.
" - Don't fight me Release me" the voice hissed.
" - No" I screamed back at the unseen foe. An arrow whizzed by my head just missing me by a mere inch and embedded itself in to the tree behind me.
" - Do it now or Die" the voice screamed back. I glanced back at the arrow and my mind filled with rage. I opened my mind up and allowed myself to give my control over to the beast within. I could feel the heat washing over me as my body began to change. I could feel the blood rage take over as i heard the rapid beating of the assailants heart. He realized he was not prepared for this so he took off running. The cool crisp air felt good on my skin as i flanked him to flush him out of hiding. He was fast I will give him that but I was so much faster. As he fell to the ground I let out a thunderous howl. He had no chance his soul was now mine.....
