Part 2
Dark rushes tomy side and wraps me in a huge protective bear hug.
- You heard your majesty make your choices and be on your way! he growled.
- You lot should be ashamed of yourselves. I gave each and everyone of you a roof over your heads and majesty has spend every waking day making sure everyone was safe and this is how you repaid us. I want everyone of you out of my sight. You disgust me right now. GrArgen growled.
As everyone filed out of the great hall he came over to me and Dark. His voice softened,
- Well Majesty how many do you think will remain after that? I just shook my head.
- I really do not know Jorge. I will be surprised if a handful stays! I could not believe what had just transpired. My parent would be very disappointed in me. I could not keep the guild together and I just had threatened them. The tears began to fall.
- Mom do not worry about them. And my grandparents would not be disappointed in you but in them. It is their fault you had to lose your temper with them and threaten them." Dark death whispered.
I looked at him in astonishment. I never knew that he could read my thoughts. The beast inside laughed."the master has just been surpassed by the student".
- Little light how long have you been able to see into my thoughts? I asked him. He gave me a little laugh.
- For as long as I can remember! I can read your beast as well. What did he mean by the master has been surpassed by the student? I can read dad as well but choose not to since his thoughts are always of what he would like to do....." Dark stopped him before he could say anymore. I had to laugh. I could hear Dark if he talked to me through my mind but I could never read his thoughts. I wondered if he could read my thoughts as well? I guess that is something I will have to discuss with him later. I looked down at my little man,
- Is there anything else you can do that I do not know about? He motioned for me to lean down and whispered in my ears :
- I know where they are and I can take you to them! I stood back up with shock on my face. Did he know how to find my parents or did he know where the mages were? He looked up into my eyes with a determined look on his face." Both" was all he said. He had indeed surpassed his parents at the young age of seven. I sent him out to play with the other children in the guild. He seemed to take a liking to Drake and Jenn's young 6 year old daughter Terry. They were almost inseparable. Just to see young love blossom made me think of all the time I missed out with Darkangel. In the mages village there were no males so the only ones we had to occupy our time with was the other young mages. I remember one young mage in particular, her name was Chiewa. She was the same age as me. We caused lots of mischief in the village. Her mother became one of the new council members who tried to change some of our older practices to newer ones but the council rejected them all. She felt we were too barbaric. I hated the thought of having to kill both of them. They were close to me just like family. Drake was at the great hall with everyone else so I am not sure how much longer Dark Death will have his playmate. If they leave I am not sure how he will take it. To be only seven he had the wisdom of someone so much older but he was still a child at heart. Dark and I have tried to provide another sibling for Dark Death over the years with no luck until now. I placed my hand on my swollen stomach. He or she was not due for another month or two. There would once again be the little cries and giggles that can only be made from a sweet little babe.
I longed for my sis, Serah who still had yet to see Dark Death. With all of the trouble we had to completely cut ourselves off from the rest of the realms. I hated it just as much as the rest of the guild but it was for our safety. I walked out into the gardens that had just come into bloom. The gardens here were not as massiva as the ones at DefyFate but they were just as beautiful if not more. Mefisto did a wonderful job keeping the grounds up. I found out that gardening was a specialty of his. There were flowers here that you could not find in any other realm. Some even had strange and unsual colors. The rainbow lilies would have to be my favorite. I took in the fresh air and strolled around taking in the peace and quiet. I closed my eyes and said a silent prayer. When I opened my eyes something caught my attention from the rose bushes. There among the beautiful blood red roses was a single black rose. I could feel my heart skip a beat. The last time I saw a black rose was at mine and dark's wedding feast and a week later tragedy struck.
