Stormslayer:Wet Nightmares: The Lost Years :Chapter Twenty-One part 1

    Something Sinister is Lurking After the wedding I begged Dark to postpone the honeymoon. I had a very bad feeling something bad was going to happen. He looked down at me with such love in his eyes. 

 " - Majesty, You really need this break just as much as me. I am pretty sure Kuso will make sure everyone is protected." he said. I really wanted to believe him but the black roses were a sign I could not ignore. I remembered something panda had told me previously.

 " - What ever happens Majesty you must not interfere". Is Panda's warning coming to pass? I told no one of the warning he had given me. I reluctantly looked at Dark and gave him a reassuring smile. The beast had been quiet these last couple of months since the battle. I was hoping for a little reassurance from him. Chaos Panda came over to see us off.

 " -  Majesty wipe that worried look from your face. Everything will be ok here i promise." he said. He leaned forward and placed a kiss on my forehead. In all the time I have known panda he has never shown affection towards anyone let alone me. I wrinkled up my nose at him. He let out a little laugh.

 " - If you keep doing that with that pretty face of yours it will surely freeze up like that." he said. I could not help laughing. Dark came over and gave Panda a short bow.

 " - What have i done to receive this great gesture" panda asked.

 " -  You my fine sir have managed to get our majesty once again to release her wonderous laughter." dark said. Panda blushed. Dark helped me up on my mount Legolas. I gave him a swift pat. Dark mounted his mare and we headed off towards our 2 weeks of bliss. If I had only known what would await us on our return I would have put up more of a fight to not go on this trip. 

    The trip went well with no mishaps and i the rest I was supposed to get did not happen. I could not believe the different yet beautiful places just beyond the kingdom's borders. We even found a secluded and very private beach at the seas edge. I really tried to enjoy the break but that little doubt in the back of my mind kept coming forth. As we headed into week 2 of our trip I awoke from having a very bad dream. In the dream was the voice that i could not place when I was unconscious at the castle. I watched as the voice commanded kuso to his knees. He began to laugh.

  " -See how your leader acknowledges when he knows he has been beaten. He is nothing but a coward who hides behind a woman's skirts." He looks down at kuso and whispers,

 " - Where is your goddess now?" He hauls back and punches kuso in the face. The others begin to laugh. I wanted to run to kuso and protect him but my feet seemed to be glued to the floor.

 " -We promised we would punish you for what you have done to us. For years we dealt with all the ridicule and shame that you put us through .But now it is our time to rule. He hit kuso once again but this time kuso fell to the floor. I could see the tears and blood from his face begining to pool around his head.My heart wanted to cry out.Another voice drifted from the open door way and my blood went cold.

 " - You are nothing but weak. I told you I would make you pay for banishing me." T3 said with a growl. He came into the room with chaos panda in tow. Panda had a strange smile of satisfaction on his face. I tried to suppress the horror on my face. This was a side of panda i had never seen. He gave kuso a swift kick to the ribs.

 " - I am not your dog anymore,Kuso!"he said vehemently. I saw for the first time the pain and anger in panda's face. I wonder what it was that Kuso had done to panda to cause him so much pain. I wanted to reach out and take away all the hate and pain in the room. It started to get stifling hot in the room and I could feel the beast inside of me growing agitated. I could feel her pull to come to the surface. 

   She was very angry. My body felt like i was on fire from the heat in the room. I tried to call out but the only sound that came out was a massive roar. I could feel someone grabbing at my shoulders and shaking me. when I opened my eyes I was back in our room at the local beach inn. My body was covered in sweat. Dark looked down at me and asked if i was ok. He said i had been tossing around in bed violently. I felt as if i had a fever running through my body. The only answer i could give dark was "Panda". 

     Dark made me go bathe to easy the fever as he packed our things for the journey home. I felt so sick to my stomach. How could I have missed the pain in panda? I felt like this was all my fault. While I thought things were getting better, they were only getting worse. After Dark paid the innkeeper we mounted our steeds and headed in the direction towards our home hoping we would not be to late. It was a day and a half ride back to the castle but it felt as if it was much longer. I was hoping that the dream was just a dream and nothing more. Something in my gut told me it wasn't and to be prepared. The beast inside of me growled her agreement. 

      We came across the small village outside of the castle walls. Everything seemed to be to quiet. Where were all the villagers? I looked toward Dark and he gave me a silent nod. I could see the dread hidden in his eyes. The outer gates to the castle were drawn closed which was unusual since kuso decided to keep them open ever since my arrival. This was not the Defyfate we had left only 11 days ago. I called up to the sentry's post.

 " - Open the gates, Your Majesty has returned from her trip!" The gates began to open with a loud grinding sound. We went into the courtyard and dismounted. My young stable boy came forward and collected the reins of the horses without saying a simple hello. He turned and led the horses away. Dark and I hurried through the castle gardens to the castles main door. The castle door flew open and B1979 stepped forward with a grim look on his face. I wanted to call out and ask what was wrong but dark grabbed my arm and gave me a silent look. 

  " - Welcome Majesty. Your presence is requested in the main hall." he said. B1 took my arm and pulled me close.

  " - Say nothing Majesty, please!" he whispered. He gave me a pleading look. I nodded silently to him. The thought of what panda had told me at the party came to mind. 

 " -Whatever happens, Stay out of it." B1 guided us to the great hall and threw open the large doors. It seemed that the whole guild was gathered inside. Then the voice from my dream spoke up. 

 " - Well it seems our Majesty has returned in time for the festivities." My heart dropped. There on the main dais was Yoda lives, baby girl, Chaospanda, and T3K9. My eyes glided over to panda's and he pleaded silently to me then dropped them to the floor. I was so hurt.

 " - Well,Well looks as if our long lost princess has decided to grace us with her prescense.Since your back early from your honeymoon I am assuming the bliss was not what you expected." babygirl said as she gave Dark a nasty look.

 " - Its what you get for marrying a peasant!" she said mockingly.

      Surrounded by Shadows If Dark and I thought the Great Hall was done elaborately the reception to follow was more exquisite. Kuso had the Castle gardens decorated for the special occasion. Every table was decorated with roses of every color. The Head table had the reddest roses I had ever seen. It almost looked as if they were actually bleeding. He had lilies scattered in the castle fountains and the moonlight shined so brightly that they looked as if they were made of liquid silver. The scene looked as if it had leapt off a page from a fairytail book. Kuso really wanted to make this wedding a very special day for Dark and I. Maybe he was really changing. 

    Dark grabbed me by the hand and dragged me into the castle garden maze before anyone could miss us. He grabbed me around the waist and lean in and planted the longest kiss on my lips. His kisses always seem to take my breath away.

 " - Are you happy my beautiful majesty?" he whispered. I let out a soft giggle.

 " - Of course my love why would I not be?" i asked returning his kisses.

 " - I must admit majesty that i was almost scared that you would not want to marry me once you saw Stevos. I am sorry that I kept this secret from you but I wanted it to be a good surprise. I heard you call out for him the weeks you were comatose. The beast inside of you also showed me the memories of him while you fed on me. I admit I was jealous at first but the bond we share spans over lifetimes and the beast told me that it was our destiny to be together. 

   Through those memories I was able to link to the bond the two of you shared and i was able to locate him. I knew you would never be completely happy until you knew what had happened to him. I figured it would have taken me longer to find and bring him here however the veil between time and space has been weakened more than i originally calculated. This not good news at all. Fates are changing and there is something big coming. I am not sure my love will be enough to save you this time." he said softly. I let off a little laugh.

  " - Love I am happy that you found Stevos for me. He is very precious to me and dear to my heart. It makes me love you even more that you would go through all of this just to make sure I am happy. But love, you are the only one that I need more than anything in this world. Without you my life is meaningless. If you can not protect me alone then I shall protect us both for all eternity. I shall protect all of us if I have too but this is to be our happy moment so no more talk of things to come." I whispered. I gave him one last kiss and pulled him back to the castle gardens. We must have been gone longer than we thought. Stevos came over and gave dark a low bow.

 " - May I have this dance with Stormy before i take my leave" he asked Dark. Darkangel smiled down at him.

 " - Of course my old friend" he said. Stevos looked up with his most dashing smile then grabbed me by the waist and spun me around the dance floor.

 " - Oh how I have missed our intimate moments. I dreamed of you every night over these long years. I always dreamt of your deathly kisses and wished for them to never stop. But of course even the sweetest of nightmares has to come to an end." he said with great sadness. My heart ached to reach out and take away all of his pain. I could see the years away from me had taken their toll on him. Even though the years were rough on him he was just as handsome as the first time we met. 

 " - Stevos what did you mean when you said you had a message from my parents? Both of them are dead." I said. He shook his head and gave a slight smile.

 " - Love, they are far from dead this i promise you. They both are very much alive. I found them in a realm not from this time and space. They had to remain hidden from the Mage clans. If not they would have been sentenced to death. Your father has been watching over you for years now and has lived in agony over not being able to interfere in your fate. If they do there would be dire consequences. I should know because that was why fate tossed me away from you to another time and space. I was not destined to love you but to kill you. The closer i got to you the more I loved you. Somehow you changed my fate and made it better. You are the one in the prophecy who can change this world and end all of the hate. If it had not been for Dark i would have never seen you again to tell you I am so sorry for hurting you." he said. I could see the tears forming at the corner of his eyes.

 " - Stevos no more sorries! I believe the fates brought you to me for an important reason. It was you who open up my heart to love. Without you I would never had awakened my memories of loving Dark and the fate we share. You will always be apart of my heart always." i whispered in his ear. He let out a soft sigh.

 " - I may be a part of your heart but not of this world. My time here is limited, love. I must go back to the the other time and space or fate will claim Darkangel in my place. My sacrifice was a small price to pay to ensure your happiness. However a time will come and the time and space will collide with this world. Darkness will reign if the light can not exstiguish it. You are that light, love. Your parents wanted you to know that they love you dearly and there will come a time when you will be reunited with them once the darkness is gone. When that happens perhaps I will be allowed to roam here once more as well. Until then I will continue to love you from the shadows and dreaming of our Grandest nightmare to end all nigtmares,"he said hopefully.

     My heart broke for the last time as he began to fade away in front of my eyes. Dark placed his arms around my shoulders. His eyes said what words could not. He helped me over to the head table. He grabbed one of the blood roses and carefully plucked off all of the thorns and brought it before my eyes. My head began to throb as if I had been hit by something hard. The petals began to darken as if touched by death. The once blood red roses were turning to black roses of darkness before my eyes. Was fate giving me a warning of what was too come?

Stormslayer:Wet Nightmares: The Lost Years : Chapter Nineteen: The Cermony

        I never thought I could be anymore nervous than I was now standing in front of the Great Hall doors. No expense was spared even at mine and Dark's objections. I must admit the dress that Kuso had commissioned for me was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and the only favor he requested of me was to walk me down the aisle as a stand in for my father. My mind kept drifting to my lord fathers' memories. I had no hidden memories of him only the ones from the oasis and his picture in the library. The only memory that was mine was of Mordock. He was the spitting image of our father. I prayed silently to the gods for his safety. It would break his heart if he knew the actual truth.

     No one had still heard no word of my Stevos. He was the very first person to awaken my heart and break it in such a short span of time. A hand rested gently on my shoulders. I turned to see Kuso at my side smiling down at me. 

 " - Don't look so sad Majesty, I thought this was supposed to be a happy day?" he whispered.

 " - I was thinking of a very sad memory is all Kuso. Darkangel is my heart and I am very happy that we shall finally get a life to live together. I just wished my parents were here to share in this moment with me is all." I said. Kuso chuckled.

 " - Your father a very wise man once told me to forget what is in the past and look forward to what the future will hold. I see a very bright future for you and Dark my lady. You have already lifted the sadness and darkness that troubled these walls for so many years. You give us all hope for the future. You have a talent to tame even the hardest of hearts and I can attest to that. You are the future of Defyfate even the fates knew the truth of that. So now My Lady, shall we?" he says as he extends his arm. I take a deep breath as I lace my arm through his as the Great Hall door begin to open. We walked into the grand room which was filled with so many smiling faces.

      Kuso some how managed to invite what seemed like everyone from the 5 surrounding realms. I had never seen this many people gathered in the Great Hall. All of our friends were here and smiling. I glanced down to the end of the aisle to see Darkangel smiling back at me. In that instant I knew that this was not all of Kuso's doing. It appeared that my future husband wanted me to feel the happiest I had ever felt. My heart just swelled even more for him. I think my father and mother would be so proud of the realms all coming together for such a joyous time. Maybe Kuso was right about me lifting all the darkness then why did I still feel as though something big was still to come? As we reached the dais Kuso stepped back as a pair of hands grasped my shoulders. I turned around to the intruder and my heart seemed to stop. Even though he was cleaned up nice there was no denying what my eyes beheld.

 " - Hello Love" he said.

 " - STEVOS!!!!! ". I glanced over to Devall with pleading in my eyes. Devsy just smiled and pointed at Darkangel. I turned around to face Dark. I could not believe what I was seeing."Majesty this was my doing. I knew this is what your heart wanted more than anything." he said smiling. I was so very confused. I turned back to Stevos not knowing if I wanted to throw my arms around him or slap him for leaving.

 " - I would never miss the most important day of my Stormy's life" he whispered. I was so overwhelmed. Stevos took my hand then walked me over to Darkangel.

 " - This is where you belong majesty. I have known from the beggining. I could never tell you because i was sworn to secrecy for all these years. I never meant to break your heart but to open it up for this moment. I wish you and Dark all the best. I also have a message from your parents." he said. I didn't quite understand. Both of my parents are dead but before i could protest he placed a kiss on my lips then placed both my hands in Dark's. He went to stand over by Devall as the priest began to read the vows. I replaced the confused look on my face with a more happier one. As soon as the wedding was over I planned on finding out what this message was from my parents beyond the grave. 

Stormslayer:Wet Nightmares: The Lost Years : Chapter Eighteen: A Grand Wedding

      The Castle was in a big uproar over the upcoming wedding ceremony. It had been years since a grand event such as this had been held. Even Kuso and Panda were walking around with smiles on their faces. Its only been three months since that fateful night when I almost lost Dark. The castle seemed to change for the better over night .Dark and I had not wanted such a grand event but Kuso insisted. He said that this is what the realm needed something to wash away all the darkness. Even the surrounding villages pitched in to make this such a happy and grand event. There would once again be a royal family in the castle. All the surrounding realms were invited. I was so overjoyed because I would once again see my Fairytail family during a most joyous time. 

    The only thing that pained me the most was that my Stevos would not be here. Even with all my memories back my heart still mourned for him. He would always have a special place in my heart. It was hard for me to stay sad for very long with everyone glowing around the castle. Dark and I still did our daily lunches in the castle gardens and a few times we snuck off to the hidden waterfall just to have some time alone. There was even rumors of a nursery being added to the castle soon. I had to laugh to myself. I was very happy that the castle was filled with so much joy and I hoped that it would stay forever. But in the back of my mind I knew deep down that this would not last for long. Someone hid those memories from me for a reason and of course the mages council was still alive in hiding .Aloud bang came from the castle kitchen. 

 " - You scoundrel! How dare you put your fingers in the wedding cake batter!" Shouted the cook. I began to laugh as B1 darted out the doors evading heavy pots that the cook was throwing at him.

 " -  Woman it is my duty to test the batter to make sure no one poisons our Majesty!" he said between breaths. The red faced cook appeared in the door way.

 " - How dare you accuse me of such a treasonous act. I have a mind to take you out back and flog you" she screamed. I could not contain my laughter. Poor B1! 

 " -Mistress it is all right. Calm yourself . I am sure he meant no ill will" I said between bouts of laughter. She looked over to me with a suprised face. She quickly bowed.

 " - Please forgive me your majesty. I just wanted everything to be perfect and this scoundrel came in and ruined the batter." she quickly said. I turned to see B1 trying to sneak around the corner.

 " -B1 so what were your findings? " I said trying to contain my laughter. He came to a halt and bowed his head I could see he was at a loss for words for being caught.

 " - Majesty the cake is fine no foul there." he said shyly. Just then Darkangel rounded the corner.

 " - By the light of Apollo what is going on here?" he said I could not longer contain the laughter.

 " - Love it seems our B1 is up to his old tricks again." Dark looked toward B1 with disappointment in his eyes but that did not last long. He started busting out in laughter.

 " - B1 as punishment for your deed I am assigning you to entertainment duty for the rest of the day. I believe we have some young maidens in the great hall in need of your charming ways. This will ensure that you remain safe and the cook can go on with her duties before Kuso has heads rolling" Dark laughed. B1 lifted his head and headed of towards the Great Hall. I walked over to Dark and planted a sweet kiss on his tempting lips. 

 " - Mistress is our lunch basket ready?" I asked. 

 " - Yes my lady, I shall go retrieve it" the cook said as she headed back into the kitchen. I turned back to Dark.

 " - Are the mounts ready for our journey?" I asked him.

 " - Yes my sweet Majesty!" he said and then he leaned in for another quick kiss.

Stormslayer:Wet Nightmares: The Lost Years :Chapter Seventeen: The Calvary Arrives

      My muscles began to give way as the last of my energy drained away. I had pushed myself way over the limit of exhaustion. I could not even lift my head when the first round of shouts came through.

 " - Majesty! DarkAngel!" B1 came running from the clearing to the tree lines." They are over here. I can hear their heartbeats." B1 shouted. He rushed over and turned me onto my back.    

  " - Majesty are you ok?" he said with tears forming in his eyes. The only thing I had the strength to do was blink.

 " -  Please Majesty do not die on me! The guild will be lost without you." he said as the tears fell. I tried to reach down in side to find the strength to speak.

 " - Dark?!" was the only word I could manage past my lips before everything went dark. I fainty recall moments of coming to and feeling excruciating pain. I recall gentle hands caressing my face and a faint voice,

 " - Rest my love, I will not leave your side." It must be Darkangel. I got many visitors but could not quite make out who they were. One in particular stood out from all the rest.

 " - Majesty I am so sorry for I have failed your father. I promised him to always protect and keep you safe. I never wanted any harm to come to you. This is my punishment for my betrayal. I loved your father as my own. Please forgive me". the unknown voice whispered. I tried to will my eyes open to catch a glimpse of who the voice belonged to but my eyes would not obey.

Stormslayer:Wet Nightmares: The Lost Years :Chapter Sixteen: Enhanced Changes

       I forgot how much I loved the wind in my face and the adrenaline pumping through my veins. This is the only time I have ever felt I was free. The beast was growing excited as well since it had been so long since I released her bonds. She was now free. I decided to stop by the river for the night to set up camp and begin to lay my trap. If the bounty hunters wanted me then here I am. I had just finished setting up the camp fire when a twig snapped in the darkness. I could not help myself from laughing this was going to be so easy they would never know that their time here was about to be up. A bolt whizzed by my head and landed dangerously close to Legolas. 

    The trap had been sprung. I ran into the nearby trees as the beast forced her way to the surface. I was expecting the pain to be excruciating but it was quite the reverse. Instead of four legs I was still on two. This must be the change she had been making these last couple of months. My back started to tingle as a pair of massive fiery wings began to sprout. My body was engulfed in flames as the wings grew larger. 

    The Heat and anger continued to grow. A massive roar can from my mouth. I began to lose control as the beast took over. I could hear footsteps running trying to locate me. My body lifted into the air. I could feel the wind in my face. I tried to laugh but it only came out as a loud roar. The beast was hunting and it had found its first target. The Hunter never knew what hit him. The beast had swooped down and picked him up. I could feel his fear coursing through his veins. His very essence was intoxicating. As he slumped forward the beast released its grip on him sending him spiraling to the ground below. One down three more to go.  

    The beast roared once more as it made another pass through the trees. The beast snatched up an archer that was positioned in one of the trees. This one however put up a fight. The archer and beast slammed into the forest ground. The archer lashed out with his dagger catching the beast in the side. The beast let out a painful roar. The beast latched on to he archer with all its might. An intense burning sensation seemed to radiate from our body. The Archer screamed in agony. I watched as the skin began to bubble and char right in front of my eyes. His Fear and Anger radiated back at me as he screamed no more. The beast released him and took for the sky once again. 

    There were still two left hiding. The beast scanned around for the remaining two hunters when it suddenly stopped flapping its massive wings. Something was very wrong. My heart felt like it was being ripped from me. The beast roared in anger and pain. There was something like water dripping from the beasts eyes. Was those tears? What was this new essence I sensed? Could it be another mage? And this one seemed just as strong as me. But I was still puzzled by the second essence. It was vaguely familiar and had a hint of magic. But it couldn't be. I told him to remain behind. The beast was angry and hatred seeped from its eyes. There was a new feeling in the beasts heart. Is that love or am I imagining it?

  " - We can not let him die!! it hissed. The beast lurched forward into the darkness in search of its prey. We came across a lit campfire. A menacing voice called out with a laugh.

 " -  I knew you would come. You are just as predictable as your Mother." The beast flinched back. It was fighting to remain in control but was losing drastically. We tumbled to the forest floor. My body was slowly transforming back to my own. Kill her. I will give you my strength it hissed. My body ached all over. The pain in my side throbbed with excruciating pain. I dug down for all my anger to make the pain subside. I had to save Darkangel. I got to my feet and looked around for my attacker. She made her way into the firelight. HellFire. How was this possible? My mother's childhood friend.

 " - Still trying to figure it out little bird. Well let me help you with that. Your mother was the next in line to be the head elder before she fell in love with that bumbling fool of a father of yours. She used to confide in me but that stopped once Mysterio came into the picture. They were always so secretive til she had you. With help from a leak in Defy I was able to alert the mage council to your birth. Once you and your mother were taken back to the clan I was able to work on a plan to be rid of you both. I convinced your mother to leave and head to Fairytail leaving you with the mage council. I promised I would take her to her beloved Mysterio. I figured the council would kill you so I allowed her to convince Devall to protect you if you ever came calling. A careless mistake on my part since it seems you are indeed not dead. She never saw it coming when I gave here the coordinates for an invading guild from another realm. Oh well I guess seeing the light drain from your eyes as you die will bring me the satisfaction that your mother denied me." she hissed.

 " - What have you done with Darkangel ?" I demanded. She gave a maniacal laugh.

 " - At least your mother had the sense to stay with her kind. She would roll in her grave to know you fell in love with a knight" she said as she spit at the ground in front of me.

 " - Hellfire don't make me ask again or you will feel my wrath" I said seething with hate. She began laughing uncontrollably.

 " - Don't worry I made sure his suffering is long and satisfying. I shall be done here with you and back in time to see his last dying breath." I was shaking with so much rage. My mother trusted her. I trusted her. She would pay for her betrayal. A Huge ball of light radiated from Hellfire's hands. The raging ball hurtled right for me. I tried to dodge but I was not fast enough. My breath was knocked out of me as I was slammed into a nearby tree. I slumped to the ground. My head was pounding and the immense pain in my side was back. I slowly got back up and cast rain of fire hoping to slow her down as i regained my strength. She laughed once more and a jolt of lightening seared down my back. This was going to be harder without my beast.

 " - Concentrate Majesty. Take the beasts strength and I will lend you mine too." Darkangel. I could hear him in my mind even if it was very weak. I closed my eyes and imagined my beast and dark side by side. I used my dark magic to take in all of their energy. I opened my eyes and noticed my body covered in a bright blue flame. My whole body was tingling from all this power. I could sense all the hatred in Hellfire. I could also sense her fear. I brought here worst nightmares to reality as they began to surround her. She tried to hold back her screams as her terrors encased her. I could feel my body fill with her essence as she tried to move. She was growing weaker by the moment. I threw my head back and let out and evil roar. There was a flash of blue light then the forest went silent. There was nothing left but ash where once stood my mother's best friend. I slumped to the ground from exhaustion.

 " - I have and always will love you Majesty!!!!" came a faint voice. Darkangel.

 " - I know you hear me Dark hang on I am coming for you" I said. I pulled myself up off the ground. I must hurry! I heard a small grunt coming from the trees beyond.

 " - Beast lend me your strength! " I screamed. I stumbled to the tree line and found the still form lying on the ground. I collapsed beside Dark and cradled his head. His heart beat was so weak. Tears were streaming from my eyes as I laid my hand upon his chest.

 " - Please let me have the strength left to heal him." I silently prayed to the gods. A faint green aura began to flow from my hand into his heart. It wasn't going to be enough. I was depleted. I leaned forward and whispered in his ear. 

  " - And I have and always will love you til my dying breath." I leaned over and placed a kiss upon his lips. A strange sensation passed through me as memories began to flood through my mind. Memories that had been lost to me. I saw memories of past lives and the love that Dark and I shared. I saw memories of heartbreak and and his death each and every time. We had a very ill fated destiny that was to be short lived. I refuse to give up this time he will live and fate will not have him. I could feel all the emotions flowing from me into him.
